We are going to try out some card sorting techniques!

Block 1

Each group gets a stack of 100 terms that deal with a university web site. Your job is to sort them into meaningful piles, including one pile of terms that you are discarding. These are terms that correspond to a page on the main web site of a university. Discuss this with your group! You need to reach a decision that everyone is happy with and document which terms you put in which order in which pile. Give names to each pile! The cards are numbered on the back to help you. Now compare your piles with the HTW web page, what is similar, what is different? Document each!

Block 2

Assume that you are planning a university web page. Produce cards with page titles and categories (7 categories maximum) that represent your ideal university web page. Don't be afraid to throw cards away and make new ones! Document your work and hand in together with the documentation of the previous block by the start of the examination at the latest.
