Lab 1: Ethics

1. Form a group of four to five persons.
   
2. Choose a scenario from the Gewissensbits collection in English. Check with the instructor that no one else has chosen this scenario.
   
3. First, everyone reads the scenario. Then you start discussing it. The questions can help guide your discussion, but they don't have to. What would be the ethical thing to do? You do not have everyone agree!
4. Do the GI ethical guidelines provide any help? What about the Hacker Ethic?
   
5. Prepare a poster illustrating the scenario, this will be presented at the end of class by the group in about 5 minutes.
6. Prepare a written report in PDF for submitting to Moodle summarizing the scenario, your discussions, any disagreements and answers to question 4 on this exercise description. Include a personal reflection from each of you on what you learned (if anything) on this exercise in your report. Each member of the group submits the same report.
   

Submit the written report to the Moodle area by 22.00 the evening before our next session. Don't forget to include everyone's name and report formalities such as page numbers and a date! Everyone submits a copy of the report.
