Lab 2: Cyber Breach Research

1. Form a group of two persons.
   
2. Choose a current cyber breach that has happened since 2020. Check with the instructor that no one else has chosen this topic.
   
3. For the first part of this exercise, do not use ANY kind of AI system. Research the breach using only search machines and databases. Record your search strategy!
   
4. What was compromised? What method was used in the attack? What was the attack surface breached? How long was the company or institution offline? How did they recover? Were any CVEs or Zero Days found?
5. Document your results on the class wiki! Your research and search strategy will be documented in your report.
   
6. NOW choose one AI system. Document which one you chose. Construct ONE prompt asking for information about this exact breach. Document the response on the wiki. Now examine the answer, is it correct? Anything important missing or wrong? Anything added that you were not able to document? Did it turn up any additional sources? Document what it turned up on wiki.
7. Prepare a PDF report documenting the process you followed and include a link to your wiki page. Include a personal reflection from each of you on this exercises. 

Submit the written report to the Moodle area by 22.00 the evening before our next session. Don't forget to include everyone's name and report formalities such as page numbers and a date! Everyone submits a copy of the report.
