I am a Professor of Media Informatics at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (HTW Berlin). I hold a Master’s and a PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), see also my old homepage at the Programming and Software Engineering Group. Before joining the HTW, I also worked in the software industry for several years, developing modern, large-scale web applications.
I teach software and data science related courses. My research interests include software development, usability, web and mobile applications, and machine learning.
I am the editor-in-chief of the Berlin Journal of Data Science.
I am the editor of the IMI Blog, where our students report on a selection of their semester projects.
